How to Do Your Own Research

This is an article to explain how to do your own research.
Without reading the contract's solidity code, you will never have 100% assurance on how a coin works or whether it is a scam. Investing in early crypto coin projects entails taking significant financial risks. That being said, if you still want to give it a shot, here are a few reasonable things to do before participating in a presale or purchasing a new crypto coin.
To begin with, security audits are critical to check, but you must also verify the audits' legitimacy. However, because most new coins have not been audited, you must conduct your own research.
Here are some other critical points to consider:
Telegram: Check to see if the number of members in the Telegram group is manipulated. This is evident when the number of online members is compared to the total number of members. If a Telegram group has 8000 members but only 100 are online, chances are it is botted; you should avoid these communities as well.
Onus Explorer: Look at the "Holder" tab and see what percentage the top holders have; if a wallet has more than 10%, you may want to reconsider investing. This wallet could sell all of their coins, which would have a significant (generally negative) impact on the price. This can also cause panic, causing everyone to sell whatever they have. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as:
The locked liquidity.
0x000...dEaD Dead Address is for burning coins, which means that no one can ever sell those coins.
In case of presale/prelaunch and the presale wallet can also have more than 10% of the coins (presales are obviously always risky investments)
Aside from these more technical points, a management and developer team that communicates effectively and transparently, an always-on website, and clean social media accounts that are professionally managed are all good things to look for before deciding whether or not to retreat.
